Alexander von Pflaum Mansion in Stuttgart These
fotos of Alexander von Pflaum's Mansion were taken around 1912 right after he
had died in Stuttgart, Germany. During the last quarter of the 19th century he
had become one of the most prominent bankers in the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg in
Southern Germany. After his death in 1911 at the age of 62, his mansion +
beautiful park was sold to the community of Stuttgart and a schoolhouse (Falkert
Schule) was built instead. Nothing else but these rare fotos are left to reveal
the splendor of a high ranking bankers living space around 1900. This treasure
of the past would have been forgotten if relatives had not preserved the family
album of Alexander von Pflaum.
